Finally!

Finally, after years of waiting (literally) I have Inheritance! This is one of my favorite books series, and I could not WAIT for this book to come out. It was my best Black Friday purchase :)

Look at those ears!

I know that these aren't the best pictures, but it is hard to get pictures of a squirmy puppy! We took his posts out of his ears last night to redo them (we put in clean posts every few days), and look how nicely they are turning out :) we were so proud of how he was holding them up!

Duke!

Well, on Saturday we picked up our puppy, Duke! He is such a sweetie. He was a little tentative of us at first, but he warmed up quickly and now he loves to follow us around the house. He had his first vet check up today, and everything went very well. He is 21 pounds, and in good health. The people at the vet liked him and he was very well behaved :) Above are some pictures of him catching up on some beauty sleep. It's tiring work waking everybody up at 3am.

Puppy Nesting

My mom thinks that she is, as she calls it, "puppy nesting." She has been cleaning and organizing the house to get ready for Duke's arrival. Above is a picture of the things that we have bought for him so far: a puppy bed, training pads, a frisbee, and a collar with a puppy tag :)

Duke

This is the newest soon-to-be member of our family, Duke the Dobermann Pinscher :) we drove out the other weekend to pick him out. We get to pick this cutie up on July 23rd!

Spring Visitor!

Today, I found this little guy hanging out on my windowsill.

I took this picture at the perfect time!  He had JUST turned his head so you could see him, and right after I took it he flew away.  I named him Ronny.

Spring Break

So I realize that it might be a bit late, but I never did a post about spring break!  Spring break was pretty much awesome.  I went to New York City with Sarah, her boyfriend Jon, and my friend Megan.

The whole group right after we got off the train at Penn Station.

We did a bunch of cool things, like:

contemplating art at the Museum of Modern Art,

finding a random can in our room,

Walking through Central Park,

Going to the observatory on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building,

seeing Phantom of the Opera on Broadway,

hitting up Magnolia to mack on some cupcakes,

and a bunch of other cool things!  It was a really fun trip :D

Academic Excellence

Today, there was a “party” in my hall’s basement for anyone who achieved “Academic Excellence” last semester.  Check out the adorable balloons they had there.

I thought they were really cute, so I stole one.  And named him Arnold.  Now he is just boppin’ around my room.

The balloons weren’t the best part of this party, though.  They had ice cream!  And tons of different toppings that we could put on.  So that was delicious.  And we got to keep the cups that they served it in.

It says “Fueling Greatness… UWSP Academic Excellence” in case you couldn’t tell.  I love that it comes with a cute little spoon that fits in the handle :)

Awesome Weekend

Who are all these people?  You don’t know?  Well ok, I will tell you.  These people happen to be the 8 awesome people that I went to see SKILLET with on Friday night! (and myself.)  What’s better than seeing Skillet live??  Ok, I will tell you that too.  Seeing Skillet live….. FOR FREE!!!  And that is how I spent my Friday night in Oshkosh.  Can it get any better?  Yes, it can.  We were RIGHT UP FRONT at the bar.  The only things between us and the band were the gate, and the security guys.  I had such a great weekend :D  And I got to see my sister and her boyfriend!

Safari Friends

I know a bunch of people who have birthdays in February.  I guess it’s just a cool month to be born in.  My roommate and I were both born in February (I am 11 days older :P)  Here are the presents we got each other:

She got me the giraffe (because they are my favorite!) and I got her the bobble-headed tiger because she likes tigers.  Aren’t they adorable??

Another Blog?

For one of my classes, I am required to start another blog.  It is going to be about my reflections from class activities and readings, but just in case any of you were interested, here is a link for it.

Hair Cut!

Today, I got my hair cut.

IT’S SO SHORT! I love it though!!! It is going to be so much easier to manage!  And I love the layers that she put in it :)  The woman who cut it also showed me a few different ways that I can wear my bangs, so that should be fun to experiment with :D

Go Pack Go!

Yesterday, my dad and I went on an epic quest to find jerseys for my mom and I to wear during the Packers-Falcons game.  Unfortunately, Falcons jerseys are hard to come by in Wisconsin.

YEA RIGHT! Like we would root for anyone other than the Packers.  I got the last Aaron Rodgers jersey in my size, and we got mom the last Clay Matthews jersey in her size.  Lucky day!

It was just me and my parents watching the game, and we had so much fun!  We made some really good food, and had a great time yelling and cheering the Packers on.

Final Score: 48-21.  On to the NFC Championship game for the Packers!!!!
